United Arab Emirates: British curriculum schools report outstanding results – News

Thousands of students in the UK program in the United Arab Emirates received the results of their General Secondary Education Certificate (GCSE) exam on Thursday.

Due to restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic, students were unable to physically sit for their exams, which were canceled, and the teacher assessed the grades. Scores were compiled with a combination of classroom tests, practice exams, lectures, and other teacher-defined assignments.

Most of the British program schools in the United Arab Emirates have achieved the outstanding result of a pass rate of almost 100 percent this year.

Despite the obstacles during the pandemic, 33% of students at Brighton College achieved grade 9 grades. The remainder included 56% of students in Grades 9 to 8 (A *), 77% of students in Grades 9 to 7 (A * -A), 92% of students in Grades 9 to 6 (A * – B) and 99% of grade 9 students. -5 (A * -C).

Pristine Private School, Dubai also recorded a 100 percent pass rate on GCSE exams with a total of 68 percent of students receiving A * to A and 86 percent of students receiving A * to B on all 87 students who were registered for the exam.

Nav Iqbal, Principal and CEO, GEMS Metropole School, Motor City, was delighted with the excellent achievements and adaptability of the students during these testing times.

“The students had a fantastic set of results, which is a testament to their hard work and the great efforts of our teachers,” he said. “Our top performing students got a seven 9 and an 8. Most notable subjects include fine arts, biology, math and music. There is much to celebrate in our metropolitan community, and we are proud to our continued success. “

GEMS FirstPoint School students are thrilled with the outstanding results with over 58% of students achieving an A *.

Lewis Paige, a school student said: “I am extremely happy with my grades. I have six 9’s, three 8’s and two 7. I want to thank all my teachers who always pushed me to be the best I can be. And also my family who helped me through this unprecedented period. The whole school has been fantastic in helping me reach the best of my ability.

With a total of 156 applicants to GEMS Wellington International, 105 achieved the 9th grade. Grade 9 student George Moussa thanked his teachers for their continued support and help. He said: “I am so happy with the results. I took English language and literature, mathematics, biology, physics and chemistry as a triple science, information and communication technologies and Arabic, and for my 2 BTEC degrees, I took the business and the media. I am really happy with my results and I would like to say a very big thank you to all my teachers who have supported me.
