UAE ministries hold workshop to promote tolerance in society

Dubai: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) organized a training workshop, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, to promote the values ​​of tolerance among employees and provide staff with knowledge and practical skills on community coexistence.

Held at the ministry’s headquarters in Dubai, the two-day event aimed to unleash the potential of employees to innovate and lead initiatives, to reinforce the values ​​of brotherhood and to develop tolerance, not only in the workplace, but also in society at large.

Ahmed Ali Al Dashti, Deputy Undersecretary for Support Services Sector; Mohammed Abdullah Al Zarooni, Director of the MoHAP Representative Office in Sharjah; and Chairman of the Tolerance Committee at the Ministry; and Wedad Bu Hamid, Director of Government Communication Department, attended the workshop for a long time along with a number of staff.

At the event, participants were informed about the practical criteria and academic standards for adopting the concepts of tolerance and coexistence as a way of life and an institutional approach. The event also addressed the foundations and rules of tolerance in the UAE, as well as the best practices and experiences provided by the country in the field of promoting humanitarian principles locally and globally.

“Various Traditions and Beliefs”

“The UAE has long maintained that tolerance is an essential pillar of the Union’s value system and a cornerstone of the future of humanity. As a result, it has become fertile ground for over 200 nations with diverse traditions and beliefs, living in peace and governed by laws and laws that ensure justice, respect and equality for all,” said Al Dashti .

“Tolerance has become an enduring institutional culture in the UAE, thanks to the thoughtful directives of our wise leadership. The UAE has always looked to the future with optimism, guided by the principles of the 1950s, to strengthen the country’s value system of openness, tolerance, respect for other cultures and human brotherhood,” he said. -he adds.

Al Dashti commended the extraordinary efforts of MoHAP to uphold the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence in various spheres of life through a variety of initiatives and projects.

Participatory training method

Mohammed Al Zarooni pointed out that the initiatives and projects of MoHAP were launched to propagate and strengthen the values ​​of tolerance stem from the forward-looking vision of the wise leadership of the UAE, who truly believe in the role that tolerance can play in supporting the success and prosperity of the country, and take the sustainable development of the United Arab Emirates to the next level.

Al Zarooni, emphasizing the importance of the meeting, said the training workshop was extremely beneficial and helped to enhance the role that MoHAP staff can play in spreading and applying the concepts and principles of tolerance .

To engage all trainees in conversations, the workshop was implemented using a participatory training style and active participation. During the program, a mix of theoretical and practical techniques were reviewed to provide participants with a set of key knowledge and skills to be able to spread the values ​​of tolerance.

Concepts of tolerance

Presented by Advisor Rashid Ibrahim Al Nuaimi, Advisor for Strategic Planning and Institutional Performance Management at the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, the workshop covered a variety of topics and introduced participants to the fundamental concepts of tolerance. , allowing them to employ the six keys of a tolerant personality.

Participants also gained insight into the fundamentals and skills needed to build a tolerant and cooperative work environment to ensure customer happiness and satisfaction.
