Sri Lanka High Commissioner to the United Arab Emirates Malraj De Silva, SEC Chairman Viraj Dayaratne PC and CSE Chairman Dumith Fernando will also address the forum outside Cabraal. All will also appear in a round table.

The forum includes technical sessions, which will cover market outlook by CTCLSA’s Executive Director of Research and Strategy, Sanjeewa Fernando, a presentation on banking and insurance by CAL Head – Strategies Udeeshan Jonas, and the manufacturing and telecommunications sector by SC Securities Chief Research Officer Charitha Gunasekera. A round table involving these experts will follow, moderated by Rajeeva Bandaranaike, CEO of the CSE.

The Colombo stock market has seen massive foreign net outflows since the start of 2020. Last year overseas net sales amounted to Rs. 53 billion while this year so far the figure exceeded Rs. 46 billion.

Friday’s forum in Dubai aims to appeal to Lankan expats as well as foreign and Middle Eastern funds operating out of the United Arab Emirates.
