Nakheel, the leading global developer based in Dubai, has unveiled a new vision for the Dubai Islands that will redefine the concept of waterside living.

Comprised of five islands with a total area of ​​17 km2, the Dubai Islands have been designed to enhance the well-being and lifestyle of residents and visitors.

Aligning with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, the Dubai Islands (formerly known as the Deira Islands) will strengthen the emirate’s position as a premier global destination for residents, visitors and investors .

According to Nakheel, each island will have its own unique offerings, with innovative living experiences, cultural centers, recreational sports beaches and beach clubs, all in an interconnected location with easy access to town and beach. airport.

The islands will be home to more than 80 resorts and hotels, including luxury and wellness resorts, boutique, family and eco-friendly hotels, supporting Dubai’s ambition to boost the tourism sector and hospitality industry by increasing the number of hotel keys, he said.

With over 20 km of beaches, including a Blue Flag certified beach in addition to over 2 km2 of parks and open spaces and premium golf courses overlooking the Arabian Gulf, the Dubai Islands will increase the length of beaches and areas dedicated to public parks, said the master developer.

A well-connected network of marinas, promenades and pathways for water and road transport, walking and cycling supports the Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040 in developing vibrant and healthy communities, he added.
