Second, considering the height of the hotel and the number of rooms it would have, this Mecca hotel will become the tallest hotel in the world once opened but still will not break the record for the tallest hotel. .

AFWA probe
While investigating the claim, we first performed a reverse image search and found that the photo shared on Facebook was indeed of the Abraj Kudai Hotel.
A 2015 article published by The Guardian wears the same photo. The article says that when the hotel opens, it will become the tallest hotel in the world.
Several others press houses to have published articles saying that with 10,000 rooms, Abraj Kudai would be the largest hotel in the world after opening.
In August 2009, Forbes published an article citing Hannah Ortman, head of records management at Guinness, that the Abraj Kudai hotel would end up breaking the world record for the largest hotel when it opened in 2021.
Based on this, we performed a keyword research to find out which is currently the largest hotel in the world.
According to the Guinness Book of World Records (https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/69317-largest-hotel), currently the largest hotel in the world is the First World Hotel in Pahang Darul Makmur, Malaysia, with 7,351 rooms. .
The Guinness Book of World Records (https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/tallest-hotel) also indicates that currently the tallest hotel in the world is the Gevora Hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This hotel is 356.33 meters high.
Recently, CNN and many other media reported that the J Hotel Shanghai Tower in Shanghai would set the new record for being the tallest hotel in the world. The hotel opened on June 19 is 600 meters high.
