ABU DHABI, September 21, 2021 (WAM) – The UAE Government Media Office today hosted the second virtual session on the country’s investment environment, which was attended by ministers and officials.

The session discussed investment opportunities in various economic fields, coinciding with the launch of a package of strategic economic development projects recently announced by the UAE government.

The session, which took place by videoconference and attended by Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and SMEs, Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Economy, and Feras Al Salem, Chairman of the Business Council in Dubai, focused on various investment opportunities available to investors in the region.

During the session, Dr Al Falasi said that the new economic and development projects announced recently under the “Projects of the 50” will help to strengthen the overall investment environment of UAE for small and medium enterprises. companies (SMEs) and entrepreneurs.

Al Saleh then noted the “10×10 Program”, which aims to increase the country’s exports by 10 percent in 10 international markets, as well as the “invest.ae” platform aimed at facilitating the establishment of businesses in the country.

Al Salem pointed out that the UAE has created an attractive investment environment for investors from the region and the rest of the world, noting that Kuwaiti investors have always found facilities that have helped them expand their business in the Arab Emirates. United.

The session also touched on the UAE’s efforts to attract major investments to develop their IT infrastructure, which resulted in the country being ranked first regionally and fourth globally in the International Entrepreneurship Index. . The sector has made progress and has seen a significant increase in the number of registered businesses and financing of SMEs.
