Dubai hotel partners with charity to support determined people


The Indigo Dubai Downtown hotel has partnered with Heroes of Hope, a non-profit charitable organization, to organize and host a four-week arts program sponsored by ArtistPals, to encourage determined individuals to pioneer their own future.

The final works created by the determined young artists, during the program, will be presented at an event, as part of the Art Series at the Indigo Dubai Downtown hotel, on October 10 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Contemporary British artist, humanitarian and one of the world’s most famous living artists, Sacha Jafri, will be present at the event, as guest of honor, to support this initiative.

During the four weeks of the program, eight determined talents were welcomed to the hotel for guided tours to draw inspiration from the art and design collections.

Resident Artistic Director Astrid Lesuisse organized workshops with leading artists from different backgrounds and styles to share their individual skills and techniques with the group. Participating artists included self-taught Emirati artist Badr Abbas, British-born artist Belinda Freeman, Iranian visual artist Asareh Ebrahimpour, Franco-Algerian-Spanish embroiderer Chloé Robin and French artist Anne-Laure Roy.

Speaking about the initiative, hotel general manager Laura Eggleton said: “We aspire to nurture and promote talent and believe in inspiring young creative minds.
