Prior to his role at Waldorf Astoria Chengdu, Schmitt was General Manager of Conrad Xiamen, China, where he was responsible for the pre-opening period and then successfully positioned the hotel as the premier luxury hotel in the province of Xiamen and Fujian, setting new benchmarks for luxury customers. experiences.
