Abu Dhabi: Al Masaood Group, one of Abu Dhabi’s leading business conglomerates, has joined the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) campaign – “Ramadan: Continued Giving” as one of the campaign sponsors. This initiative reaffirms Al Masaood’s continued commitment to prioritizing the group’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) by supporting various charitable causes.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. The event was attended by Ahmed Salmeen, Managing Director of Government Affairs, Al Masaood Group; HE Hamoud Abdullah Al Junaibi, Assistant Secretary General for Marketing and Resource Development, Red Crescent Authority; and corporate and institutional sponsors of the Red Crescent.
This year’s Ramadan campaign is expected to be the largest of its kind and aims to reach out to several parts of the world by implementing charitable projects and humanitarian initiatives. The initiative will take place in cooperation with various individual and institutional donors, as well as with ERC partners in key sectors. It is estimated that the campaign will reach around two million people and through this initiative, Al Masaood will participate in activities such as Ramadan Iftar and Ramadan Mir. The group will also provide basic necessities to families, distribute food baskets worth AED 200 each and donate clothing for Eid. In addition, Al Masaood employees will voluntarily participate in the Red Crescent’s “Break the Fast” initiative which takes place in several locations in the capital.

Al Masaood Group recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, in line with the Group’s commitment to its corporate social responsibility and contributions to the Authority’s humanitarian efforts . In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding, the two parties will strengthen their collaboration in support of internal and external initiatives of the Authority; coordinate efforts to optimize the use of the services provided by each of them; raise community awareness and promote humanitarian education; and encouraging community involvement in charitable activities.
