Abu Dhabi has issued more than 500 gold visas to doctors.
The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health (DoH), in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Residents’ Office (ADRO), a division of the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Economic Development (ADDED), recognized the efforts of over 500 health professionals.
They also announced that more medical professionals will be recognized, and that additional groups of doctors are expected to be rewarded with golden visas.
More than 500 recipients were shortlisted following a selection process, with each physician assessed and appointed taking into account their qualifications, performance and reputation, official news agency WAM reported.

Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Hamed, Chairman of DoH, said: “The health sector plays an important role in the future of Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates. Over the past year, we have seen the impact of our healthcare professionals on our community. Supporting the vision of our leadership, they have always made the health and well-being of our community a top priority. Today, our healthcare sector enjoys a leading position regionally and globally as one of the best and most advanced, as evidenced by the awards and distinctions obtained by the Emirate. “

Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, President of ADDED, said: “The Abu Dhabi Residents Office has been launched to provide the community of families, creatives, professionals and investors in the emirate with the best quality of life. .
“We have partnered with the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health to do this and more, recognizing the inspiring doctors who have made the emirate such a safe place to live, visit and work, while providing them with a stepping stone to to lead the safest, most stable and most comfortable lives possible.
The DoH and ADRO have also launched new packages to allow doctors to apply for the golden visa in the capital.

The UAE allowed all doctors residing in the country to apply for the golden visa earlier this year, granting them and their families ten years of residence in the country.
